Connecting with Nature
“You should sit in nature for 20 minutes a day… unless you are busy, then you should sit for an hour.” -Zen saying
Today I’m giving thanks to Mother Earth, Pachamama, Great Mother, for all the gifts and beauty she gives us.
We live in this amazing world, a planet filled with the most beautiful nature and incredible beings.
Sitting or being in nature, taking a walk in the forest or by the beach or ocean, or just simply sitting down in the grass in your garden, brings you new energies. It grounds you and helps you become more centered.
Sit down and smell the flowers, feel the soft green grass under your feet and connect with the beautiful energies of Mother Earth.
Being in nature will energize you and bring peace to your heart.
Look at, smell, touch, taste and feel the beautiful nature. Touch the trunk and leaves on the tree, feel it on the tip of your fingers. How does it feel? Can you feel the vibration? Its energy?
Use your senses.
Listen, what do you hear? The wind playing and dancing with the trees? The birds singing their beautiful song? Or the river or ocean running and moving steady and strong?
How does it smell?
Touch the ground beneath you, what do you feel?
Touch the roots of the tree, or feel the water on your hands. Can you sense their story? Their old wisdom?
Being in nature is very healing. Spending some time in nature, every day or a few times a week, will be good for your health, soul, mind and body.
Today I honor and give thanks to Mother Earth, Pachamama, and all her beauty and gifts.
